The H.A.V.E. Project
Helping Assist Veterans Everyday
OPERATION: OKLAHOMA
As of Spring 2021, the H.A.V.E. Project has moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma!
We are now serving the TULSA, OK area.
Be sure to follow our endeavors on our FACEBOOK page!
Our first programs have been to help local food pantries for Veterans, DeWalt tool giveaways, free lawn mowing services partnering with local companies (Tulsa New Holland & Cub Cadet) to help Veterans.
The H.A.V.E. Project (Helping Assist Veterans Everyday) is a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization that was founded in January 2018 to help local Western New York veterans by collecting donations of used assistive/mobility devices and distributing them at no cost to local veterans and their families. The H.A.V.E. Project also reaches homeless veterans through food drives and toiletries drive and strives to showcase the positive influence veterans have in society through varies social media platforms (podcasts, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
The H.A.V.E. Project establishes local donation centers at physical therapy clinics and local organizations to accept donations and distributes the items to individual veterans (sending requests) or through local distributions sites (WNY Veterans Housing Coalition inc., Lion's Club, VA Healthcare for homeless Buffalo, etc.).
The H.A.V.E Project also hosts a national podcast showcasing the positive influence veterans have in society. The podcast series bridges the gap between the veteran community and the community at-large through upbeat interviews and in-depth conversations with veterans. The episodes are found on PodBean.com, Apple podcast app and Spotify ("the haveproject's podcast).
The H.A.V.E. Project hosts annual summer outdoor concerts to gather food for local homeless veteran organizations. The H.A.V.E. Project also empowers local companies to help local homeless veteran organizations by sponsoring holiday toiletries drives which enables the local businesses to reach veterans they normally cannot help.
